Welcome to London (in Argentina)

Next time you take a flight to London, make sure you’re not going to correct one. Because there’s a town called Londres (London in Spanish) in Argentina.

This village in the north of the country was founded in honour of an English Queen, when the land was under the Spanish Empire dominance. It is the second oldest town in the country, and it’s surrounded by some of the best natural landscapes Argentina has to offer.

Does it have any similarities with the London we all know? “This London is not the same as yours”, one of the 2,500 inhabitants warns. Why? Because it has a rhythm totally opposite to the British capital: quietness, just a few paved streets, nature and a lot of walnuts.
